The reason Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه was able to Narrate so many Ahadeeth

On one occasion Marwaan bin Hakam became angry at Sayyidina Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه and said in anger to him, “People say that Abu Hurairah narrates so many Ahadeeth but he did not remain long in the company of Rasoolullah صلى الله عليه وسلم . You only came to Madinah a few years before the demise of Rasoolullah صلى الله عليه وسلم." Sayyidina Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه replied, “This is true that I came into the company of Rasoolullah صلى الله عليه وسلم after the battle of khaybar and at that time my age was thirty. From that moment onwards I became the shadow of Rasoolullah صلى الله عليه وسلم and remained with him at all times until he left this world. I used to go to the home of Rasoolullah صلى الله عليه وسلم and remain in his service. I performed Salaah behind him and rode along with Rasoolullah صلى الله عليه وسلم when he went for Hajj. I participated alongside Rasoolullah صلى الله عليه وسلم in the battles that came after. I take an oath by Allaah! I am more acquainted with H

The Salaah of a few eminent Sahabah (Radhi-Allahu-Anhum)

Describing the Salaah of Hadhrat Abu Bakr رضي الله عنه and Hadhrat Abdullah bin Zubair رضي الله عنه Hadhrat Mujahid (رحمه لله) says: "They stood in Salaah motionless like pieces of wood stuck in the ground." Ulama agree that Hadhrat Abdullah bin Zubair رضي الله عنه learnt to read his Salaah from Hadhrat Abu Bakr رضي الله عنه, who in turn learnt it directly from the Prophet صلى الله على وسلم. It is said about Hadhrat Abdullah bin Zubair رضي الله عنه that he remained in Sajdah for so long, and kept so motionless that birds would come and perch on his back. He would sometimes remain in Sajdah or Ruku all night long. During an attack against him, a missile came and hit the wall of the masjid wherein he was performing his Salaah. A piece of masonry flew from the wall and passed in between his beard and throat. He neither cut short his Salaah, nor was he the least perturbed. Once he was performing his Salaah while his son Hashim was sleeping near him. A snake fell from the cei

Hadhrat Abu Bakr and Umar رضي الله عنهم compete in giving Sadaqah

Hadhrat Umar رضي الله عنه narrates, “Rasoolullah صلى الله على وسلم once asked for contributions in the path of Allah Ta'aala. Since I was in possession of some wealth at the time, I thought that I must try to surpass Abu Bakr رضي الله عنه this time since he always surpassed me in spending in the path of Allah Ta'aala. Pleased with the thought, I went home and divided all I possessed into two equal parts. I left half for my family and took the rest to Rasoolullah صلى الله على وسلم. 'Did you leave anything for your family, Umar?' Rasoolullah صلى الله على وسلم asked. 'I did, O Rasoolullah صلى الله على وسلم!' I replied. Rasoolullah صلى الله على وسلم then asked me how much I had left and I informed him that I had left Half. Abu Bakr رضي الله عنه then arrived with his donation. 'What did you leave for your family, Abu Bakr?' Rasoolullah صلى الله على وسلم asked. His reply was, 'I have left only Allah Ta'aala and his Nabi صلى الله على وسلم for them.

Rubayyi Radi-Allahu-Anha's High Mindedness

Rubayyi-bint-Mu'awiz (Radi-Allahu-Anha) was a woman of Ansar, who had participated in many battles, by the side of the Prophet ﷺ. She nursed the wounded and carried the dead bodies during the battle. She had accepted Islam before the Prophet ﷺ emigrated to Madinah. She was married when the Prophet ﷺ was in Madinah. He graced her marriage with his presence. He heard some girls singing an epic poem about the battle of Badr at her place. One of them sang a verse, which meant: "We have among us the Prophet ﷺ, who knows what is to happen tomorrow." He stopped her from saying such things, because nobody except Allah knows what is going to happen in future. It was Hadhrat Rubayyi (Radi-Allahu-Anha's) father Hadhrat Mu'awiz (Radi-Allahu-Anhu) who was one of those who killed Abu Jahl in Badr. Abu Jahal as we know was one of the big chiefs of Qureysh and the worst enemy of Islam. There was a woman named Asma who used to sell perfumes to the ladies. She once came to Hadh

Hadhrat Umme Habibah (Radi-Allahu-Anha's) Behaviour With Her Father:

Hadhrat Ummul Mu'mineen Umme Habibah (Radi-Allahu-Anha) was previously married to Ubaidullah bin Jahsh. She emigrated with her husband to Abyssinia. Her husband turned renegade and died there as a Kafir. The Prophet ﷺ sent his offer to marry her through king Negus, while she was still passing her days in Abyssinia as a widow. She accepted the offer and came to Madinah to live with the Prophet ﷺ. During the period of truce between the Muslims and the idolaters of Makkah , her father Abu Sufyan once came to Madinah for negotiations in connection with reinforcing the truce. He went to see Umme Habibah (Radi-Allahu-Anha). As he was about to sit on the bedding in her room, she removed it from under him. He was surprised over her behaviour and said: "Was the bedding unfit for me or I unfit for the bedding?" She replied: "This bedding is meant for the dear and holy Prophet ﷺ, while you are an idolater and therefore unclean. How can I allow you to sit on this beddi

Hadhrat Abu Bakr's رضي الله عنه Daily Allowance from the Bait-ul Maal..

Hadhrat Abu Bakr (Radi-Allahu-Anhu) was a cloth merchant and lived by that trade. On the day of the death of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم, people selected him as the Khalifa.  The next day with some cloth slung on his arms, he was proceeding to the market as usual when 'Umar(Radi-Allahu-Anhu) met him on the way. 'Umar (Radi-Allahu-Anhu): "Where are you going to, Abu Bakr'?" Abu Bakr (Radi-Allahu-Anhu):" To the market" 'Umar (Radi-Allahu-Anhu): "if you get busy with your trade, who will carry out the duties of the Khalifa?" Abu Bakr (Radi-Allahu-Anhu): "How am I to feed my family then?" . 'Umar (Radi-Allahu-Anhu):"let's go to Abu Ubaidah (In charge ofBait-ul-Maal), who will fix some daily allowance for you from the Bait-ul-Maal." They both went to Abu Ubaidah (Radi-Allahu-Anhu). He fixed for Abu Bakr (Radi-Allahu-Anhu) allowance equal to that usually paid to an average Muhajir. Once Abu Bakr (Radi-Alla

Hadhrat Suhaib رضي الله عنه 's coming into Islam

Hadhrat Suhaib and Hadhrat Ammaar (Radi-Allahu-Anhuma) became Muslims at the same time. The Prophet ﷺ was staying at Arqam (Radi-Allahu-Anhu)'s place. when they both came separately with the same intention of embracing Islam and met each other at the door of the house. Suhaib (Radi-Allahu-Anhu) also suffered very much at the hands of his persecutors. like other poor Muslims of that time. At last he decided to emigrate to Madinah. The Quraysh would not tolerate this and  soon after his departure a party went in pursuit to bring him back to Makkah. As the party drew near, he shouted to them: "You know that I am a better archer than all of you. So long as I have a single arrow left with me, you will not be able to approach me and when I finish all my arrows. l shall fight you with my sword, as long as it is in my hand. If you like you can get my money which I have left in Makkah and my two women slaves, in lieu of me." And they agreed. He told them the whereabouts
